Boise home prices continue to rise, supply continues to fall

Boise Regional Realtors released a report Thursday outlining the local housing market's direction.

Monthly demand for homes in Boise continues to outpace the supply and send home prices way up. October was no exception.

The median sales price last month for homes sold in Ada County was $406,684, up 14.7 percent year-over-year, but down slightly from September 2020.

This was based on 1,112 home sales, an increase of 11.9 percent compared to October 2019. There were 443 of single-family homes available at the end of October, down 73.7 percent compared to the same month last year.

Boise Regional Realtors says homes spend an average of only 20 days on the market before going under contract. Some don't even make it in the inventory numbers.
